The footage, which was captured on a mobile phone on Saturday evening, begins with a man calling out ‘Oli McBurnie’, before the man believed to be the Sheffield United star walks towards the phone and seemingly smashes it when it falls to the ground.
The mobile phone continues to record the video, which shows the man thought to be McBurnie attacking the man who called out his name.
The footage, which has now gone viral, seems to show the man being punched and kneed.

The fight then seems to continue out of shot.
A statement released by Sheffield United on Monday night read: “Officials at Sheffield United are aware of the video circulating on social media and are currently investigating.”
As reported by The Sun, the Sheffield United player has been arrested by North Yorkshire Police after the victim, Elliott Wright, reported the incident.
It has been reported that McBurnie was arrested late on Monday night, after the police were made aware of the incident.
A statement from North Yorkshire Police said: “A 24-year-old man from Knaresborough has been arrested in connection with an incident, which involved another man being assaulted.
“The 21-year-old victim sustained facial injuries during the incident, which happened shortly before 8.30pm on Saturday 8 May on High Street, Knaresborough.
“The 24-year-old arrested man remains in custody at this time. Anyone who witnessed the incident is asked to contact police.”
