The runner had reportedly earlier asked his attacker to move off the track
A wild sucker-punch has been caught on camera that knocked a high school runner over and shocked onlookers.
The punch occurred at the Tohopekaliga Tiger Invitational in Kissimmee, Florida on Saturday, which saw athletes from 27 schools competing.
According to Canadian Running Magazine, the incident happened during a 1,600-meter race and occurred after the runner had earlier asked his attacker to move off the track.

TMZ reported that the athlete who threw the punch was not involved in the race. He was reportedly standing on the track, and the runner in first place – the victim – told him to move out of the way.
During the next lap, instead of doing so, the athlete was said to have impeded the runner again, who responded by pushing him over.
In retaliation, he then chased the runner down and punched him in the head as he passed by. The runner is then seen falling to the ground.
One spectator can be heard saying, “Are you f***ing kidding me?” as the incident unfolds.
It was not immediately known if any criminal complaints were made over the incident, but Running Magazine reported that police were notified.
It is not known if any charges have been filed.
The runner was said to have later got up and crossed the finish line.
