‘It’s a total curse’
A mum has voiced her displeasure about Aldi selling a product with an inappropriate name, saying that she is “disgusted” with the supermarket.
The unhappy woman was at an Aldi in Netherton when she spotted a car cleaning kit called “Demon Chill.”
She described the product as a “total curse”, “absolutely vile” and that children should not “become familiar with this word.”
And she made all of this known to a Facebook group she was in.
Posting in the group, she said: “Totally disgusted Aldi are selling this. Any advice on how to complain as a consumer or get a petition or something to have it removed from shelves?
“We should not have to see this in supermarkets nor should our children become familiar with this word. It’s a total curse. Demonise your car??? Come on. This is absolutely vile! Any Christians amongst us or even people with common sense?”
The range of car care products are said to include the “essentials” needed to overcome the harsh winter.
The strap line for the product on the maker’s website says: “Demonize your car this winter with our CarPlan Demon Winter Range”.
It goes on to describe the product as “encompassing all the essentials you need to approach and overcome the harsh winter conditions that the UK has to offer, Demon has introduced a variety of products to assist you in combat this winter.”
