Six cops came to his house to apprehend him.
A terminally-ill man was left stunned after police came to his house to arrest him for mooning at a speed camera.
Last month, Darrell Meekcom was told he had multiple system atrophy (MSA), a terminal condition that affects the nervous system and has a life expectancy following diagnosis of around six years.
The 55-year-old decided therefore to draw up a bucket list of things he wanted to do before he died – which included mooning a speed camera.
So the retired university lecturer ticked this off his list on November 5, exposing his bum to a mobile speed camera van which has caught him “a couple of times for silly speeds like 35mph in a 30 zone” and “always bugged me.”
He said: “I didn’t think anything of it. It was a good laugh.”
However just 20 mins later, six police officers arrived at his home asking to be let in. When he refused, his garden gate was kicked in, with the officers then getting him to the ground and handcuffing him.
Mobile phone footage filmed by wife Sarah, 36, a nurse, shows Darrell calmly telling officers: “I’m terminally ill, I won’t be able to breathe like this.
“This is ridiculous – I moonied a speed camera. I moonied a speed camera.”

Darrell says: “I’m quite happy to say that because it was one off my bucket list.
“I’ve just been diagnosed with multiple system atrophy. I’m terminally ill, I’ve got a very short time to live and it was one off my bucket list.
“Have you never wanted to moonie a speed camera? Well, I did.”

Darrell said: “I was simply gobsmacked that I got arrested for mooning a speed camera.
“I did not resist arrest once and I felt the response was completely disproportionate in the circumstances.”
A West Mercia Police spokesman said: “Around 1pm on Friday 5 November officers received a report of indecent exposure on Stourbridge Road.
“Officers attended and after a search of the area, located a person of interest in Coiey Close.
“A 55-year-old man from Kidderminster was arrested on suspicion of public order offences and released on bail. Enquiries are ongoing.”
Darrell has two daughters aged 10 and eight. Along with his MSA diagnosis, he also suffers heart disease, kidney failure and Parkinson’s Disease
As well as his speed camera mooning, he has a bungee jump and parachuting on his bucket list.
