The human who found the signs of liquid on Mars was an undergraduate student who used to be in a metal band.
Earlier this week, we all stopped what we were doing to look in awe at images of the red planet being beamed across the globe wondering, ‘ok, so where am I looking? Where are the waterfalls? And when can I go?’
NASA announced the finding dates back to a study by Georgia Tech student Lujendra Ojha, carried out when he was an undergraduate at the University of Arizona.

Now, it has been revealed that the Nepalese-American used to be in a heavy metal band called Gorkha.
He told CNET: “Yeah, that was an old life. I was kind of in poverty with music. I wasn’t making enough money so I said screw music, let’s go to science, maybe there’s more money in it. But there isn’t money in science either.”
Something tells us he won’t be down the dole office anytime soon, Besides, David Bowie’s done alright from science and music…
