We have been hoodwinked, bamboozled, led astray, run amok and flat out deceived
You remember this story right? A man was caught on CCTV allegedly stealing cans of beer from a shop in Blackpool, and he appeared to show an uncanny resemblance to David Schwimmer, who played Ross in hit sitcom Friends.
It was a true viral sensation. Even Schwimmer got involved, making a parody video of the viral CCTV footage, saying “officers, I swear it wasn’t me.”

A 36-year-old man by the name of Abdulah Husseini was later arrested on suspicion of fraud and theft and was ordered to appear before magistrates in December but failed to turn up.
Police have asked for the help in tracking him down by releasing his mugshot and well, it turns out the thief doesn’t actually look anything like the Hollywood actor.
He doesn’t even look like that guy ‘Russ’ who Rachel once dated. I guess it is all about the angles.
Lancashire Police today said: “Police are trying to trace Abdulah Husseini, 36, after he failed to appear at court.
“Husseini was due to appear at Blackpool Magistrates’ Court on December 18 accused of theft and four counts of fraud.
“This relates to a coat, mobile phone and wallet being stolen from Mr Basrai’s restaurant on Talbot Road, Blackpool on Thursday, September 20.
“Husseini failed to appear at court and a warrant has been issued for his arrest.”
The original police post got so many responses about the Husseini looking like ‘Ross from Friends’ that the police had to address it on social media, saying: ‘Thank you to everyone for your speedy responses. ‘We have investigated this matter thoroughly and have confirmed that David Schwimmer was in America on this date.”
