Whilst the London transport network does get a bad rap at times from those cursed to use it regularly, at least the gaps in service are never as long as six weeks.
Parliament has been dissolved ahead of the general election on 7 May so that parties can officially begin campaigning – expect a knock on the door from your local political hopefuls any day now.

To help worried commuters cope without their missing MPs in Westminster, Transport for London posted a message in Hommerton, east London, reading:
“Parliament has been dissolved. There are no MPs. Please try to remain calm at this difficult time.”
No MPs. For six weeks. However will we all cope?
