There have been many fitting tributes paid to the late Terry Wogan.
Fans of the gifted broadcaster, who died from cancer on Sunday, have been quick to show their appreciation and respect. But when a national treasure passes, you can count on a few sensationalist headlines.
As the world is well aware, Wogan passed away weeks after the death of David Bowie. Comparing the late stars is an odd angle unless the sole purpose was shock tactics, which the Daily Mail went for.

Terrible headline from the Daily Mail tomorrow. Who in their right mind would turn two deaths into a competition? pic.twitter.com/nedB9aqxLm

#Daily Mail – you are truly pathetic. A competition about which dead celebrity moved Britain the most! WHY?
