“Julia, you can’t say something like that…”
Viewers of ITV’s This Morning were left furious by the show’s guest, Julia Hartley-Brewer, after she made what was described as a ‘disgusting’ comment about Meghan Markle.
The radio host appeared on the show remotely yesterday and made a controversial comment about Meghan Markle’s hypothetical response to a photograph of the Royal family, which was released after Prince Philip’s death last Friday.
In the image, which was taken by the Duchess of Cambridge at Balmoral in 2018, the Duke of Edinburgh and the Queen are accompanied by their great-grandchildren on the sofa.

Referring to the photograph, which was taken before Archie was born in May 2019, the Radio host said: “I wonder if Meghan has managed to take offence to this photograph because it doesn’t include her son.”
“She probably thinks it’s a racist photograph, taken before her son was even conceived.”
“But I’m sure she’s managed to take offence at it anyway.”
She was interrupted on her bizarre rant by Nicola Thorp, who told her: “Julia, you can’t say something like that, I’m sorry,” to which Julia responded: “I can.”
This Morning fans were left shocked and angered by the radio host’s comments.

One fan, who shared the clip on Twitter, said: “Disgraceful, despicable comments by Julia Hartley-Brewer today about Meghan, and in front of a black host, too. Just look at Alison’s face afterwards before Dermot tries to break the ice with a joke. Hopefully ITV will finally stop booking her.”
Another fan tweeted: “Love Josie, Alison and Dermot really disgusted this morning though with Julia Hartley Brewer having a horrible nasty dig at Meghan Markle I’m fed up with how this lady is constantly insulted by media guests leave her alone please it’s cruel.”
