Footage has been released of the shocking moment two thugs assaulted a vulnerable OAP by throwing him in the boot of his own car and shutting the door.

The video shows the man, who is in his 70s, looking in the boot of his car when the men walk past.

Without any provocation, they then bundle the man into the boot of his Citroen and try and shut the door.

Micky Smith, 37, and Tommy Buckland, 35, have now been jailed over the attack on Eton High Street, Windsor, which took place on September 19 last year.

In a statement, Thames Valley Police said the duo pleaded guilty to one count of assault occasioning actual bodily harm and were sentenced at Reading Crown Court on May 11 to one year and nine months in prison.

Investigating officer, PC James Smith, based at Maidenhead police station, said: “This was a unprovoked attack in broad daylight on a vulnerable, disabled, elderly man whose life was turned upside down through no fault of his own.

“I am glad that Smith and Buckland have been taken off our streets making them safer for us all.

“I hope the sentence provides them with an opportunity to reflect upon their actions.

“I would like to express my deepest thanks to the members of the public who came forward as witnesses who helped secure this conviction.”
