It was one of many disturbing details revealed in a recent documentary
One of Tim Westwood‘s accusers has claimed that the DJ often pulled out “a box of condoms with his face on it” before having sex with women.
The former BBC Radio 1 DJ was accused of numerous accounts of sexual misconduct with at least seven women on Tuesday, with outlets releasing reports and Westwood denying the allegations ahead of a documentary entitled, Tim Westwood: Abuse of Power, which aired on BBC Three at 9pm later that night.
During the course of the exposé, one woman referred to only as Isabel (the names of those involved have been changed) recalled meeting Westwood after visiting a nightclub where he was promoting his own line of condoms with Durex.
An aspiring music artist, she had left her number alongside a mixtape that she wanted him to listen to and Westwood soon got in contact, meeting in central London before he was said to have driven her to a private property.
Isabel alleged: “He leaves the room and he comes back completely naked… That’s when I noticed that he’s got a condom and he’s removed it from the packet and started putting it on.
“I remember the packet because they had this slogan on it. They had his face on the other side.”
The woman claims that the two went on to have sex and that she did not feel comfortable, but did not outwardly vocalise her feelings, stating that she tried to move but Westwood was “not responsive”, adding, “I was literally frozen. I couldn’t move”.
Abuse of Power is available on iPlayer now and unearths numerous stories regarding the 64-year-old’s supposed manipulative treatment of women in the music industry, with the alleged victims ranging from late teens to early 20s.
His accusers claim Westwood carried out opportunistic and predatory sexual behaviour via his position of power, with four alleging that he groped them at various different events.
