The singer passed away on Sunday morning.
Tributes have poured in from across the world of entertainment and music in honour of Sarah Harding, who passed away on Sunday at the age of 39.
Harding, who was part of Girls Aloud from their creation in 2002 right up to when they split up in 2018, had been diagnosed with breast cancer last summer. In March she said that she didn’t expect to live until Christmas as the cancer had spread to her spine.
Speaking on Harding’s Instagram account, her mother Marie announced the sad news of her passing.
“It’s with deep heartbreak that today I’m sharing the news that my beautiful daughter Sarah has sadly passed away,” she wrote.
“Many of you will know of Sarah’s battle with cancer and that she fought so strongly from her diagnosis until her last day. She slipped away peacefully this morning.
“I’d like to thank everyone for their kind support over the past year. It meant the world to Sarah and it gave her great strength and comfort to know she was loved.”
