That was … quite the year.
President Donald Trump (that still doesn’t sound right) has been in office for a year now, and to say that there have been some speed-bumps along the way would be kinda like saying the Titanic had some teething issues.
A recent poll in the Washington Post saw his approval ratings were the lowest of any President in the last 70 years, which is quite the accolade to receive.
Wanting to get to the bottom of these results himself, Trump has posted an Inaugural Year Approval Poll to get his own statistics, which is totally fine.
First up, he asks “How would you rate President Trump’s first year in office (2017)?”
Notice something weird there?
There is no option for a “negative” response.
Maybe the option of “Other” could be enough, but then when you see his next question, “How would you rate President Obama’s first year in office (2009)?”, it all becomes a little bit clearer…
As if out of nowhere, the “Poor” option has appeared, an option that you can’t have for Trump himself.
If anyone else where to present these options the other way around, you could be guaranteed that Trump would be all over it, claiming that it was fake new- oh wait…
How can the “Fake News Media” fairly cover Trump’s first year approval ratings when Trump himself isn’t giving people the option to express their opinion on it fairly?
The mind fairly boggles.
Only … (looks at calendar) … three more years to go, unless he gets re-elected, in which case… (insert Sad Face Emoji here)
