Twitter suspends Steve Bannon account after suggesting beheading of Anthony Fauci and Christopher Wray

A video in which the comments were made has also been removed by Facebook and YouTube

Twitter has permanently suspended an account for a show run by former White House Chief Strategist Steve Bannon after he suggested that leading infectious diseases expert Dr. Anthony Fauci and FBI Director Christopher Wray should be beheaded.

Suggesting that both men should be fired in a livestream on Thursday of War Room: Pandemic, an online show hosted by Bannon, he went further and said: “I’d put the heads (of Fauci and Wray) on pikes. Right. I’d put them at the two corners of the White House as a warning to federal bureaucrats.

“You either get with the programme or you are gone.”

The video was posted on YouTube, Twitter and Facebook – where it remained up for about 10 hours – before being removed from all three platforms for inciting violence.

The @waroom2020 account has been permanently suspended by Twitter for violating Twitter rules.

In the video, Bannon also claimed, as Trump has, that Trump has won the election, despite the fact that counting has not been completed in a number of states.

Trump went on the offensive in a speech on Thursday night and again in a series of Twitter posts on Friday morning, making dubious posts about election fraud, illegal votes and, after several posts were flagged as potentially misleading, that Twitter is “out of control.”
