At least 10 people have been killed after two trains collided in Southern Italy.
The crash happened near the town of Andria in the Puglia region, between the coastal towns of Bari and Barletta.
Details of the extent of the tragedy were not immediately made available by police, with news agencies stating that emergency services are currently at the scene.
At least ten people have been killed, with many more injured. Both trains had four carriages.
An aerial image has shown the extent of the damage, with debris scattered on either side of the single track close to an olive grove.
Prime Minister Matteo Renzi has interrupted a trip to Milan following the crash and returned to Rome.
