One less problem for Tyson Fury is that he won’t be investigated for comments he made about homosexuality.
The boxing champ, who denies being homophobic, was the subject of a hate crime probe by a gay ex-police officer.
But a Greater Manchester Police spokesman has now said: “The circumstances in which these comments were made suggest no criminal offence has taken place.
“This matter will not be investigated any further.”
The petition to remove him from the Sports Personality of the Year has amassed 131,000 signatures, with many divided over whether Fury deserves to be in the running.
