Police are looking for a fraudster who injected an elderly woman with a fake Covid-19 vaccine
The man charged the 92-year-old man from South London, £160 for the bogus vaccine.
The woman was visited by a man claiming to be from the NHS at her home address on Kingsmead Avenue in Surbiton, on Wednesday 30th December 2020, and said he was there to administer the vaccine to her.
He then returned to the victim’s home on Monday 4th January, demanding another £100.
The man has been described by police as “white with a London accent, in his early thirties, 5ft 9 inches in height, medium build, with light brown hair that is combed back.” On his second visit, he was wearing a navy blue tracksuit, with white stripes down the side.

It has not been determined what was in the injection administered by the man, but the victim has suffered no ill effects and was checked over at a local hospital.
The victim said she she was injected in the arm with a “dart-like implement”.
“This is a disgusting and totally unacceptable assault on a member of the public which won’t be tolerated,” said Detective Inspector Kevin Ives from the City of London Police’s Police Intellectual Property Crime Unit, in a statement.
“We are appealing to anyone who may have information that could assist us in identifying this man to get in touch. It is crucial we catch him as soon as possible as not only is he defrauding individuals of money, he may endanger people’s lives.”
