This took a lot of balls to be fair.
If you’re too young to have heard of Squeeze, they’re a UK band that first made their way back in the late 1970s and have been recording on and off ever since.
The group recently released a new album titled ‘From the Cradle to the Grave’ and were invited to perform the title track live on the Andrew Marr Show on BBC One on Sunday.
Prime Minister David Cameron also happened to be a guest on the show and the band took the opportunity to let him know what they think of his policies, particularly those on social housing, with singer Glenn Tilbrook changing the lyrics of the song to attack those “hell-bent” on destroying the welfare state.

The original lyrics read: “They say time will wait for no man/they say time is on my side/I can never make my mind up/as it all goes whizzing by”.
With Cameron watching on, Tillbrook changed them to read: “I grew up in council houses/they’re part of what made Britain great/there are some here who are hell-bent/on the destruction of the welfare state”.
Cameron responds with some awkward applause, but it looks as though they got their point across.
