Bennedict Mathurin appeared to be gesturing to the crowd when the incident happened
A video of a star university basketball player has gone viral amid suggestions it shows him touching a cheerleader’s chest as he exits the court.
Officials at the University of Arizona and TCU have reportedly been in communication following Sunday’s game when the incident took place, the Forth Worth Star-Telegram reported.
The video shows Wildcats guard Bennedict Mathurin leaving the court after his team’s 85-80 overtime win over TCU. As he nears the tunnel he extends his arms out, in an apparent gesture to the cheering crowd, and his hand appears to brush the chest of one of the TCU Showgirls who is standing nearby.
Social media users have since speculated about whether or not Mathurin touched the woman’s chest –Â and if so, if it was intentional.
Mathurin has not yet commented on the incident.
Ummmm…did the Arizona go later just give the TCU cheerleader a tap? pic.twitter.com/VbVRLoqp2V

TCU, the University of Arizona, and NCAA officials are yet to comment on the video, the Star-Telegram reported.
Mathurin, a 19-year-old sophomore largely considered a top prospect in this year’s NBA Draft, recorded 30 points in the Wildcat’s victory over TCU.
Arizona, the 1-seed in the South Region, advanced to the Sweet 16 and will face 5-seed Houston on Thursday night in San Antonio.
