A BBC cameraman was attacked by a man at Donald Trump’s rally in El Paso, Texas on Monday.
Washington correspondent Gary O’Donoghue, said his colleague Ron Skeans had been filming the rally when he was pushed to the ground by a Trump supporter.
“It was an incredibly violent attack. Fortunately our cameraman is fine, he is made of stern stuff,” O’Donoghue told the Today programme.
He shared footage of the incident on Twitter.
This is the shameful moment when my cameraman Ron Skeans was attacked by @realdDonaldTrump supporter in El Paso – after the President repeatedly goaded the crowd over supposed media bias. Happily Ron is fine #TrumpElPaso pic.twitter.com/F3pv04fRBg

The footage captured from Skeans’ camera shows the shot focused on Trump before jolting away as he is pushed by a man.
The man can then be heard shouting “USA” and “f*ck the media”.
The video shows the attacker being restrained and subsequently removed from the media section.
