Barack Obama brought the house down at his last ever White House Correspondents Dinner last night – and his speech included a few unexpected shout-outs and potshots.
The US president mades a few digs at those campaigning to take over from him, directing jabs at Hillary Clinton, Bernie Sanders and “the Donald”.
He also referenced Kendall Jenner, the only member of the Kardashian/Jenner clan to get invited to the event, saying:
“Kendall Jenner is also here and we had a chance to meet backstage. She seems like a very nice young woman. I’m not exactly sure what she does, but I am told that my Twitter mentions are about to go through the roof”.
He also referenced his meeting with Prince George saying: “Last week, Prince George showed up to our meeting in his bath robe. That was a slap in the face—a breach of protocol.”
Finishing off with an actual mic drop, the US president of seven-and-a-half years simply said: “Obama out”.
