Zero coronavirus deaths have been recorded in England, Northern Ireland and Scotland today, it has been announced
This comes after the government lowered the ‘Covid-19 alert level’ from four to three.
The level three alert level means that, while the virus is still in general circulation, transmission is no longer rising exponentially.
The UK #COVID19 alert level will move from level 4 to level 3.
This means case numbers, deaths and Covid hospital pressures have fallen consistently but the virus is still circulating so we must continue to be vigilant.

The Chief Medical Officer Chris Whitty said on Twitter: “Thanks to the efforts of the public and the vaccine programme, cases and deaths have fallen across the UK. The UK CMOs have recommended the COVID Alert Level move from 4 to 3.
“This steady progress relies on us remaining vigilant and careful as we unlock.”
Despite the encouraging news from the other parts of the UK, four deaths were reported in Wales.
The Prime Minister Boris Johnson is currently holding a press conference to discuss the latest developments to the step-by-step roadmap out of lockdown.
