David Lammy continues to smash it.
Unless you’ve been living in a cave, which is entirely plausible under this current Tory regime, you might have heard that Amber Rudd resigned as Home Secretary on Sunday, and that Sajid Javid has since been appointed in her place.
The Labour MP for Tottenham David Lammy is clearly feeling pretty good then, as it was his impassioned speech that drew much-needed attention and criticism to the Windrush Scandal that was attempting to deport thousands of immigrants who had been living in the UK for decades.

The Labour back-bencher took the Home Office to task over the whole affair which has since cost Amber Rudd her job and made Theresa May’s “strong and stable” government look even more weak and unstable than when those hollow words first rang from her mouth.
Lammy, job done for now, celebrated with a Tweet on his way into Parliament this morning, likening himself to Omar Little from The Wire:
