More Musk content no one asked for
Elon Musk has suggested that no one over the age of 70 should be running for political office in a dig that could be about absolutely anyone – though there’s one very obvious one in mind.
The jokey but perhaps somewhat serious suggestion came in a tweet he posted on Thursday, following his well-publicised social media ‘squabble’ with senator Bernie Sanders.
Let’s set an age limit after which you can’t run for political office, perhaps a number just below 70 …

Sanders is now 80 years old and while he may no longer be running for the US presidency, he is still a senator for the state of Vermont and as active a political figure as ever.
ln case you didn’t see it at the time, he was the exchange they had on Twitter, by which we mean Musk essentially mocked an old man not having died yet. He’s all heart, our Elon.
I keep forgetting that you’re still alive

The Tesla CEO and SpaceX founder has been toying with his portfolio in a fairly public manner for some time now – having shared an exchange with the UN chief over using his stocks to solve world hunger. As such, he also went on to tease Sanders by adding: “Want me to sell more stock, Bernie? Just say the word …”
He, of course, didn’t mention anyone by name and, in fairness, he could genuinely be referring to any and/or all of the dozen or so active US politicians over 70 who still have some pull in Capitol Hill and across the country.
As well as current President Joe Biden, the likes of Donald Trump, Hilary Clinton, Mitch McConnell and Nancy Pelosi are just some of the notable names that are aged 70 or older.
