It would be hilarious if it wasn’t our Government
Amid the ongoing ‘Partygate’ scandal, Nadine Dorries appeared in not one, not two, but three interviews that you can’t look away from despite being inherently cringe-worthy.
Perhaps looking to score some brownie points from Boris Johnson, Dorries spoke to the BBC News, Sky News, and Channel 4 News, and each only added to the online ridicule.
Channel 4’s Krishnan Guru-Murthy questioned the Secretary of State for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport about Johnson’s comments regarding Keir Starmer failing to prosecute Jimmy Savile.
Guru-Murthy accused Johnson of perpetuating “fake news”, to which Dorries shook her head and claimed, “I don’t know the details.”

Changing the subject, Dorries then added: “There are lots of things that Keir Starmer shouldn’t have said.”
While Guru-Murthy attempted to move the interview on, Dorries was stuck on he said she said for the remainder of the clip.
In the second interview, Dorries spoke to Sky News, where she described one of their statements on Sue Gray’s report as “pure fiction and guesswork.”
Throughout both interviews, Dorries is rocking back and forth, and the internet has questioned, “is she rowing a boat?”

In the third interview, and yes she is still rocking in case you were wondering, Dorries repeated the standard Tory response of “we will wait to see what their findings are.”
In response to a question asking whether Boris’ detractors were right to call for his resignation, Dorries theorises that the press is “talking to the same people who’ve been saying the same things for two years.”
The MP for Mid Bedfordshire has since been rinsed online.
PM Boris Johnson has "given his apology," and "we'll wait to see" what the Met Police's findings are, says Culture Secretary Nadine Dorries

LBC’s James O’Brien, who has famously butted heads with the MP before, tweeted: “I can’t imagine there are many circumstances in which Nadine Dorries would defend me, but I’m absolutely certain that there are none in which I’d want her to.”

Another tweeted: “When your best defence is sending out Dominic Raab and Nadine Dorries, then it’s game over.”
Someone else questioned: “Why is @NadineDorries anywhere near politics? She is inept, speaks incoherent babble, quite frankly thick as mince and unfit for public office.”
Nadine Dorries just woke up on a bench, covered in bits of kebab.

While Partygate is still under investigation by the Met Police, one thing is for sure- Dorries’ car crash saga will not be the last.
