Affordable flights to European hot spot Croatia
European hot spot Croatia has launched new flights from the UK in a bid to entice tourists – and they won’t break the bank.
The country is home to cities including Split and Dubrovnik as well as picturesque beaches and islands like Hvar.
In 2024, the country was 10th on Google’s list of most searched travel destinations and last year it also recorded a four per cent increase in tourist arrivals, the Mirror reports.
Croatia is a particularly popular destination for tourists looking for some winter sun, with holidaymakers increasing by 15% from the UK during the off-peak periods.
This is partly thanks to new Jet2 flights from a number of airports including Manchester, which launched last year.
However, according to a report by the European Travel Commission, a non-profit group that includes 36 national tourism organisations, of the 73 per cent of Europeans that plan to travel before March 2025, only 4.1 per cent of respondents indicated Croatia as their preferred destination.
This means you can get affordable flights to the hot spot throughout 2025, thanks to the likes of Ryanair, EasyJet and Jet2.
Plus Jet2 is confirmed to be running new flights from Birmingham, London Stansted and Manchester to Pula and Istrian Coast.
These will begin in May until at least 18 October, 2025, while a new twice-weekly EasyJet route from Liverpool to Split is also set to launch on 9 June, 2025 to help bring UK travellers to central Dalmatia.
At the time of writing the cheapest flight via Skyscanner from the UK to Split is for travel dates in September or October, with both priced from just £25 via London or £30 from Manchester or Liverpool.
You can get a last-minute flight to Dubrovnik for March, with prices starting at £31, or in May from £37.
Other destinations in Croatia include Zadar, another coastal city, with flights at £22 in April.
While Pula is cheapest this spring, with flights from £45 in April, £56 in May or £62 in June, or if you’re looking for some winter sun then it’s £69 to fly to Pula in October.
