He could buy 2,800 chicken nuggets with that amount of money
A “water snob” who spends £1,400 a month on bottled water has claimed that despite popular opinion, his way is the “only way to hydrate.”
Creative Director Ryan Dubs spends $2,000 (£1,400) on bottled water a month, which he houses in four separate fridges. While many of us would undoubtedly dread unloading that much water, Dubs claims it’s very “satisfying.”

Dubs doesn’t even buy Evian or Volvic and instead chooses to buy VOSS water which claims to be one of the purest bottled waters on the planet. Sharing his story on TikTok, Dubs (@ryandub) explained that he’d “always been a water snob.”
While unpacking his colossal water delivery, he said: “I know what you’re thinking, ‘What the hell? Why do you care? It’s just water?’ But I hate the taste of tap water. I cannot drink it. I can only drink bottled water, it’s the only way I’ll get it in me”.
Dubs admitted that while VOSS is his the current tipple of choice, he once used to buy the same quantity in Fiji until he realised how much he was contributing to the plastic problem.
He explained: “Voss is net carbon neutral so it’s definitely a more eco-friendly choice. And yeah, it’s a little pricey but I do buy it in bulk from the same type of place that would sell it to a hotel or a grocery store, so it’s a bit better”.
Dubs reasoned that “everyone has their thing” and further claimed that his guests love being given a “nice, cold glass water bottle.”
The TikTok has since divided the internet, with many people dubbing the man “privileged.”
One person said: “People don’t have clean water or any water at all, and this guy out here saying, ‘I hate the taste of tap water, I can’t get it in me'”.
Another commented: “When you said you spent over $2k a month on water, I guarantee you the question most people were thinking was not ‘where do you keep it?”
