Man City move for £30m Sterling
While Arsenal have reportedly shelved their interest in Raheem Sterling following leaked pics of the 20-year-old inhaling ‘hippy crack’, the Daily Mirror claim Man City are pushing ahead with a £30m bid.
The champions are ready to shift a number of under-performing players to fund a summer splurge, with Edin Dzeko, Samir Nasri, Yaya Toure and Stevan Jovetic all thought to be on the unwanted list.
Meanwhile, City also want Pep Guardiola – who has one year left on his Bayern Munich contract – to replace the outgoing Manuel Pellegrini.
Liverpool keen on Walcott
Should Sterling leave for one of his many suitors, Liverpool may try and replace the winger with Theo Walcott.
The Arsenal forward has struggled to nail down a starting spot following his return from injury while talks over a new contract have stalled.
The 26-year-old has one year left on his current deal, with Liverpool ready to offer him regular first-team football.
Man United target Khedira
Manchester United could be set to snap up Sami Khedira on a free transfer, report The Sun.
The World Cup winner’s Real Madrid contract expires in June, and it seems his future lies away from the Santiago Bernabeu after failing to agree a new deal.
A host of clubs are interested – including Liverpool and Bayern Munich – but it seems Khedira is leaning towards United…as long as they secure a return to the Champions League.
