Mrs. Gustafsson definitely won’t forget her engagement.
Having just watched her boyfriend systematically pummel veteran UFC light heavyweight Glover Teixeira for the best part of 21 minutes, Moa Johansson was presented with a ring in the centre of the Octagon.
Alexander Gustafsson had just put on the greatest performance of his UFC career as he picked apart the worryingly durable Teixeira on the feet before getting the finish in the fifth and final round.
Gustafsson’s uppercuts were the story of the fight, which took place in his native Sweden, and it was a trio of those picture-perfect strikes that ultimately opened up his Brazilian opponent for the finish.
After three consecutive uppercuts caught Teixeira flush on his chin, ‘The Mauler’ ripped a perfect right hook which put the 37-year-old down.

The walk-off KO was Gustafsson’s first stoppage in three years and solidifies his status as a top contender at 205lbs but, unfortunately for the Swede, it would appear that former foe and current teammate Jimi Manuwa is ahead of him in the pecking order.
It seems likely that Gus will require at least another victory before getting his third crack at the UFC’s light heavyweight title .
But, in the meantime, he’s got a wedding to plan as he seized the opportunity to propose to his girlfriend in front of his adoring fans.
Now that's how to propose! Congrats to the future Mr and Mrs @AlexTheMauler 💍 pic.twitter.com/hCYpuYGD38
