‘Let’s do a Star Trek half-time show,’ they said. ‘What’s the worst that could happen?’ they said.
But when the Kansas State Marching Band proudly unveiled the jazzy routine they’d probably been working on all summer, it didn’t go down too well.
The highlight of the spectacular show was suppose to be when band members portrayed the famous Starship Enterprise taking down ‘Jayhawk’, the mascot of their hated rivals Kansas.
Well, that’s what they said it was – everybody else saw something very, very different…
Tell me this isn’t a Jayhawk and “something” going into its mouth. You can’t convince me otherwise. pic.twitter.com/xajPEJoK1V

The irony is now they’re on their knees…only this time pleading for forgiveness.
We apologize for anyone offended by our halftime performance depicting the starship enterprise and the Jayhawk mascot.
