Amir Khan has long been touted as a potential opponent for Floyd Mayweather Jr – but the Bolton boxer thinks the American is running scared.
Khan revealed he is confident that his “speed, movement, accuracy and youth” would be too much for the undefeated veteran, and thinks that’s why ‘Money’ has opted to fight Andre Berto instead of him.
“I think Mayweather knows that I’ll give him big problems and beat him,” Khan told Shortlist.
“That’s why he’s avoiding me. It shows he’s afraid.”

If Khan wasn’t already confident enough of victory, Mayweather’s own father, Floyd Mayweather Senior, has spoken very highly of the Olympic silver medalist.
He has no doubts that Khan would see off the challenge of potential opponent Manny Pacquiao, the last man Mayweather Jr defeated in the ring.
“Amir Khan will win because all you got to do is be able to out-box him,” Mayweather Sr. told esnewsreporting.com.
With a 31-3 record in his career to date, it’s clear that few have been able to out-box Khan so far.
