Xherdan Shaqiri, eat your heart out.
Sure, the Stoke playmaker embarrassed Chris Smalling at Old Trafford, but that was just one nutmeg. He needs to come back when he’s pulled off three in the one move.
Why are we talking about a triple nutmeg? Well you’ve got James Maddison to thank for that.
The 19-year-old midfielder is on loan at Aberdeen from Norwich City, and he’s certainly been catching the eye north of the border.
During the Dons’ 4-0 win at Kilmarnock, the former Coventry City man nutmegged one opponent, received a return pass from a teammate, and decided ‘fuck it, one’s not enough, let’s see what I can do here’.
And before any killjoys claim it’s just useless showboating with no end-product, he gained plenty of ground and earned himself a free-kick in the process.

Maddison didn’t score in the win, but he was the star of the show, setting up Aberdeen’s first three goals in the convincing victory at Rugby Park.
The result leaves Derek McInnes’ side second in the Scottish Premiership, four points behind leaders Celtic, though the Bhoys have a game in hand.
Oh, and those of you wondering if he’s just a skill merchant, he’s capable of doing other stuff too. Like what? We hear you ask. Well, like this last-minute free-kick winner against Rangers, for example.

He’s definitely one to keep an eye on.
