Andy Carroll has emerged as an unlikely target for Sevilla, who reportedly hope to secure the West Ham striker on a season-long loan.
According to Spanish paper AS, the La Liga side, who kicked off their campaign with a 0-0 draw on Friday night, are eyeing Carroll as an alternative to Fernando Llorente.
It’s thought that the Juventus forward is manager Unai Emery’s number-one target, but negotiations have stalled over the fee.
That has led Sevilla to weigh up a move for Carroll, although any deal will depend on the England international proving his fitness after a troublesome ankle injury.
