It’s now looking increasingly likely that Crash Bandicoot is set for some form of revival.
A matter of days after a tweet from a Sony Entertainment account prompted some to speculate that PlayStation could be on the cusp of bringing back the much-loved video game character, a comment by a toy maker in the US has further fanned the flames.
Randy Falk, director of development for NECA – a toy and collectible company – indicated in an interview with PixelDan Eardley that Sony were bringing Crash Bandicoot back.
“We’ve got a lot of stuff going on with Sony,” he explained.
“Looking at some of their other titles, I see that they’re bringing Crash Bandicoot back …”
Unfortunately, Falk doesn’t elaborate on his comment, so it remains unclear what exactly (if anything at all) is in store for this PlayStation 1 favourite.
