Arsenal fan finds a clever way of upcycling old Fabregas shirt

Too Cesc-y for his shirt...

Simon Lloyd

Times may have been hard in recent years, yet the cost of a football shirt has defied the recession and steadily continued to increase.

Perhaps because of this, one American Arsenal supporter has caught the eye with a particularly inventive way of upcycling an old shirt…

With a number four and former hero Cesc Febregas’s name on the back, many Arsenal fans would have happily disposed of such a shirt following the Spaniard’s decision to join rivals Chelsea last summer, but not this man.

Per Mertasacker, Arsenal’s current number four, is affectionately known as the Big F**king German, by Gooners. Seeing this, the creative fan peeled away most of the letters in Fabregas’s second name so that only the acronym of the German’s nickname remained.
