All talk around Arsenal so far this transfer window has understandably been around Alexis Sánchez.
The Chilean has been rampant for the Gunners and managed to consign Olivier Giroud to the bench for most of the campaign.
With the forward in the last 18 months of his contract and some of his frustrations with Arsenal’s inconsistent form showing on the pitch, he’s understandably been the main focus.
However, today Arsène Wenger confirmed moves could be on the cards for two of Arsenal’s more bit-part players this month.
The Arsenal manager said Mathieu Debuchy and Carl Jenkinson could be on the way out if appropriate bids come in. The pair have only made one appearance each so far this season.
Speaking today at the press conference ahead of the Gunners 3rd round FA Cup clash with Preston North End, Wenger revealed no bids had yet come in for either player yet.
When a journalist followed up and asked if he was still happy to see them both move on in this window, Arsène replied:
“We’ll see, yes, what happens. Yes.”
The pair’s days at The Emirates appear to be numbered.
