Never mind Christmas, the January transfer window is rapidly approaching.
For Arsenal fans, an injury prone Kim Kallstrom has been just about as exciting as the mid-season window has got in recent years. But this season, things could well be different.
Having suffered a few injuries in recent weeks, a cautious Arsene Wenger has said that, although sealing deals in January is difficult, he will be looking to bolster his squad next month.
“We are open minded,” he admitted at a press conference ahead of his team’s crunch clash with Manchester City.
“We are not the only ones who can decide about the speed of the transfer. We have to adapt to the availabilities and the speed of negotiations and the willingness of clubs to sell.
“But we are willing because we are short.”
