Aston Villa have had a rough time of things in 2016.
Relegated from the Premier League last season, their efforts to bounce straight back haven’t exactly got off to the best of starts, winning just one of their eleven matches and currently languishing in 19th place in the Championship.
It’s a start which has already cost Roberto Di Matteo his job, despite only taking charge at Villa Park over the summer.
Villa will now look to appoint their fourth manager in little over twelve months with Steve Bruce and Ryan Giggs both being linked with the role.
Given the club’s current plight, it’s fair to say that this isn’t one of the more desirable football managerial vacancies at the minute. However, we certainly weren’t expecting Virgin Trains to start taking the piss about it…
