Since 1994, Gabriel Agbonlahor has been playing football with his boyhood club.
Since 2005, he’s been scoring Premier League goals (genuinely). More than any other Aston Villa player in history (genuinely).
But 22 years of service – 11 to the senior cause – amounts to very little when you’re made club captain and you’d rather smoke shisha pipes in Dubai than help your team avoid relegation.
Two club suspensions for Agbonlahor in Aston Villa’s time of need – the second after he was pictured celebrating relegation – has seen him slip right out of favour with the B6 faithful who have lost all hope in their current team.
So, during their last Premier League game for God knows how long, Villa fans enjoyed themselves at the Emirates against Arsenal.
And, in what could be a farewell to their 29-year-old Englishman, the supporters paid tribute to Gabriel Agbonlahor.

There was plenty to celebrate after all.
Not only were Arsenal were winning, Spurs were blowing it, and Villa were doing what they do best. So the travelling fans joined in the party. They want something to cheer about. Even at their own expense.

In all of the wildness though, they still made time for Bacuna, Lescott, and Richards too.
Fair play.
