Barcelona are reportedly looking to agree a deal worth around €300m (£270m) for the naming rights of their stadium.

The Nou Camp is set to be revamped in the coming years. Its capacity will grow from just shy of 100,000 to 105,000 over the course of the redevelopment, which is expected to be completed before the start of the 2022/2023 season.

Reports from Spain claim a naming rights deal could be reached soon, with the stadium’s new title revealed as early as the start of next year.

Negotiations are said to have already started with several companies – some from Asia; others from the US, where Barca are currently preparing for the new season.

According to Marca (via Sport360), an agreement with the local council has enabled the Spanish champions to seek more money than the €200m they initially expected to raise from such a deal.

The redevelopment plans for the stadium, Barca’s home of over 60 years, were announced in 2016. The most notable change will be the addition of a roof which will cover all stands, as opposed to the way it is now, with just the one stand under shelter. There will also be significant modifications to the outside of the stadium, which can be seen in the video above.
