The mighty Barcelona, at home in the Champions League – one of the finest sights in world football.
But for many tuning in to their quarter final first leg clash with Atletico Madrid, the fact that Messi et al were wearing their club’s hideous orange changed strip tarnished it a little bit…
Probably a stupid question. But why are Barca wearing their away kit at home?

Don't understand why Barcelona are wearing there away kit whilst playing at home 🤔🤔🤔

Barcelona's home kit is awful, but their away kit is an absolute eyesore;#yuk

(Their home kits not that bad, is it?)
So – why *were* they taking to the field in a changed strip? Was it a ploy to sell a few more replicas of their away shirts in the club shop?
Barca deserve to be losing just for wearing their away kit at home

No. In fact, it was nothing to do with Barcelona and was all Uefa’s fault (of course).
Ahead of the tie, Europe’s governing body decided that Barca and Atletico’s home kits would clash if they were to wear them.
Not that this mattered when the sides met in the league a few weeks ago.
