By all accounts, it hasn’t been the greatest of weeks for Sage Northcutt.
The rising UFC prospect has been preparing for his upcoming duel against Enrique Marin at the landmark UFC 200 card and he hasn’t exactly been making a great impression on his sparring partners.
Or at least, his Dad hasn’t.
Sage Northcutt's dad is not the greatest coach, according to one sparring partner https://t.co/Ua6Om8SzuK

Super Sage dropped into Ulpiano Malachias’ gym in Santa Ana, California. Although the former Pan American silver medalist wasn’t present for the training session, he was not one bit happy about the reports he heard.
Malachias gave out yards about Super Sage and his Dad on his Facebook page, claiming the youngster did not want to get hit in the sparring sessions.
This would corroborate Ilya Grad’s claim that his Dad stepped in to pull him out of a sparring session when the going got tough.
He said that if he ever saw Sage or Mark in his gym again, he would punch them “on the face,” before expressing how he hoped the pair returned to his gym so he could “teach you both a lesson”.
Although, Malachias kept his post vague, he confirmed in the comments that it was indeed Sage Northcutt who caused him all this bother.
