He’s in high demand

Wilfried Zaha is on several clubs’ radars this summer after the Crystal Palace forward fired the Eagles to safety last season.

Tottenham Hotspur have long been admirers of the Ivorian, but have seemingly been put off by Palace demanding too high a fee for their talisman.

Everton, Liverpool, and Borrusia Dortmund are also interested in signing Zaha, according to Goal. Everton are reportedly weighing up a big money bid for the player, as Marco Silva looks to bring in more quality to Goodison Park.

Marco Silva has not yet made a signing for Everton after he took over from Sam Allardyce at the end of last season with new director of football Marcel Brands leading the recruitment process at Goodison.

Everton would face tough competition from Dortmund, Spurs and Liverpool for Zaha, which could turn into a bidding war. And he won’t come cheap. Crystal Palace will be demanding in the region of £60m for their star player, who is currently on wages exceeding £100k per week.

Dortmund are the first team from outside the Premier League to be linked with Zaha, and the German side are looking for a winger having just sold Andriy Yarmolenko to West Ham.

They do already have the extremely talented Jadon Sancho on their books, as well as Christian Pulisic, so Zaha would by no means be a guaranteed starter for Dortmund.

Zaha has four years remaining on his contract, putting Palace in a strong negotiating position to keep hold of the player, who has an local affiliation with the club having moved to Croydon at the age of four.

Although, if Zaha decides he wants another crack at the big time, Palace could be in trouble. He will be wary of jumping at the first offer that comes along though, after his nightmare move to Manchester United in 2013.
