People haven’t been happy with the way Wilder responded
Light-welterweight champion Josh Taylor has called out Deontay Wilder on social media after video footage recently emerged of Tyson Fury and Wilder engaging in conversation in which the American shows a lack of respect towards his opponent.
The video in question shows Wilder saying, “I won’t respect you, I won’t respect you. I will never respect you,” whilst the winner can be heard trying to make peace saying: “You got beat fair and square tonight. That’s it. I respect you because I’m a man.”
Wilder’s response to Fury has seemed to cause quite the stir since his 11th-round knockout defeat to the ‘Gypsy King’, with many taking to social media to voice their anger at the American’s interaction following the end of the fight.

Before being taken away to prevent any potential post-fight battles, Fury could be heard saying: “Don’t show bad sportsmanship, you lost fair and square.”
Taylor is just one of many to voice his displeasure at Wilder’s actions.
Taking to his Instagram story, the light-welterweight champion’s post shows him reposting a highlight reel of the interaction, in which he has captioned it: “Sore loser.
“F*****g d******d.”
In order to clear up the air, Deontay Wilder’s trainer Malik Scott revealed to the public why the ‘Bronze Bomber’ refused to accept Fury’s token of sportsmanship.
He said:“Deontay, obviously, he looks at Fury as a man he had serious issues with concerning certain allegations and certain things he’d seen with his own eyes.
“Tonight, after they released all that energy, he still felt the way he felt.”
Since then, Wilder has spoken out on the mater himself, admitting that sometimes you need to just be graceful in defeat in a post on his Instagram.

He said: “We didn’t get the win but a wise man once said the victories are within the lessons. I’ve learned that sometimes you have to lose to win.
“Last but not least I would like to congratulate @gypsyking101 for his victory and thank you for the great historical memories that will last forever.”
