Jake Paul believes that he is “the best thing that’s happened to boxing in a century” and has the support of several other high-profile fighters.
The YouTuber-turned-boxer is currently preparing for his return to the ring on December 18 where he will face Tommy Fury in Tampa Bay, Florida as he looks to continue his unbeaten professional record.

Since his first professional fight in January, Paul has won all four of his fights – two of those coming against former UFC fighters – and he believes he has made a significant impact in the world of boxing.
“I’m the best thing that’s happened to boxing in a century, period” the American said to Bleacher Report.
The 24-year-old then added that the stars of the sport would also agree with the statement that he has helped elevate boxing to a higher platform.
Paul said: “The legends would agree. The Anthony Joshuas, the Mike Tysons, the Many Pacquiaos, the Tyson Furys.
“They’ve all said what I’m doing for boxing is a breath of fresh air.
“I think that debate started about a year ago – is Jake Paul good for boxing? I have silenced that, and I don’t think there’s anybody on the other side of the equation who thinks I’m bad for boxing.
“I have a foundation where we give boxing gloves to as many kids as possible. We’re going around, renovating boxing gyms, getting the young kids inspired to box.
“I think this sport needed that revival.”
The Cleveland-born fighter also still has hopes to fight Conor McGregor in the future and feels that people are now beginning to take him more seriously.
“I’ll fight everybody,” Paul said. “This started with me calling out McGregor. People were like, ‘Oh, that kid’s crazy.’
“Now it’s like, that fight could happen in the next 24 months, 100 per cent. It probably will and I will beat him.
“People are seeing how serious I am about this and changing the way they think about it.”
