Mike Tyson and Roy Jones Jr return to the ring this Saturday in an exhibition match – but they won’t be able to knock each other out.
No knockouts are just one of the many rule changes you will see in Saturday’s fight between two boxing icons.
There will also be no ringside judges present, meaning that a winner will not be announced.
The two will go head-to-head with eight two-minute rounds, and will wear 12 ounce gloves. These are slightly bigger than normal, offering greater protection.
Now aged 54, Mike Tyson has made a handful of exhibition appearances since his retirement in 2005, most notably against Corey ‘T-Rex’ Sanders. However, this upcoming clash against Roy Jones Jr is arguably his most serious bout since losing to Irish journeyman Kevin McBridge in his final professional fight.
At the time of his final fight, Tyson admitted his heart wasn’t in it – and that he was only fighting to pay bills and rent.
It was a sad end to one of the most remarkable and decorated careers in boxing.
However, Iron Mike has been looking ridiculously sharp recently – and is also in his best physical condition for decades.

A series of photos posted on Instagram show Mike Tyson in great condition, arguably the leanest he has been since retiring.
Tyson discussed his new training regime on an episode of The Joe Rogan Experience.
He said: “I’m doing little / light weights with lots of reps and explosive movements.
“Getting in shape isn’t easy, it’s continuous stuff. It’s consistency.”
Tyson also made headlines recently when he admitted to using a fake penis in order to pass a drug test.
Speaking to the UFC’s Jeff Novitsky, Tyson said he used a Whizzinator to get around drug tests before he fought Lou Saverese in Glasgow in 2000. The Whizzinator is essentially a prosthetic penis that can carry fluid.
Tyson said he filled it with his child’s urine.
“I put my baby’s urine in it,” he said.
“One time I was using my wife’s [urine] and my wife was like, ‘Baby, you better not hope that it comes back pregnant or something.’ And I said, ‘Nah, so we ain’t gonna use you any more, we’re gonna use the kid’.
“Because I got scared that the p*** might come back as pregnant.”
