We won’t be seeing Bradley Scott in the Octagon again until 2020.
England’s Scott has accepted a two-year suspension after testing positive for a banned substance earlier this year.
A statement from the United States Anti-Doping agency, the UFC’s anti-doping partner, has revealed that Scott tested positive for benzoylecgonine, a metabolite of cocaine, in the examination of a urine sample he provided on the night of his most recent bout.
Scott fell to a split decision defeat to Carlo Pedersoli Jr. in Liverpool and it was on that night, 27 May, that he provided the in-competition sample.

The statement reads: “Cocaine is a non-Specified Substance in the class of Stimulants and prohibited in-competition under the UFC Anti-Doping Policy, which has adopted the World Anti-Doping Agency Prohibited List.
“Usada conducted a thorough investigation into Scott’s case and determined Scott had not provided verifiable evidence regarding the circumstances that led to his positive test. Scott’s two-year period of ineligibility, the standard sanction for a first offense involving a non-Specified Substance, began on July 3, 2018, the date his provisional suspension was imposed.”
Scott has a record of 3-5 in the UFC, having earned a contract despite falling to a decision defeat to current middleweight champion Robert Whittaker in the The Ultimate Fighter: The Smashes welterweight finale in 2012.
