It’s not uncommon for a round of golf to take a good four-hour chunk out of your day (depending how good you are, that is).
Most of us will lug our clubs around all 18 holes on foot, or, if your local golf course is particularly posh, you might be able to hire one of those buggies. Either way, it still takes time.
But thankfully, change is on the way (if you’ve got a bit of money to spend).
Not content with being carted about in a buggy, Bubba Watson has joined forces with Oakley to produce the world’s first ever flying golf cart jetpack to speed up his time on the course.
“For the first time in 112 years, golf is part of the Olympics. That’s a big deal, so what better time to introduce something to speed up our game?” asks Watson.
As seen in the video below, the cart boasts vertical take off and landing. It can also reach speeds of up to 50mph and a height of 3,000 feet, according to reports.
Clearly, this should shave a bit of time of your usual round, but it also adds a different bird’s eye perspective of a golf course – something Bubba thinks is another advantage.
But never mind all that, the reason you’re still reading this is because you want to see how much the thing is, isn’t it?
Well, it’s claimed that the ‘game-changing’ jet-pack will set you back a whopping £150,000 when it becomes available on the open market.
As impressive as it looks, it’s probably not a price many will be willing to pay just yet…
