The seemingly endless flow of cash the Chinese Super League shows no signs of slowing down, with Carlos Tevez reported to be the latest target.
Tevez has apparently turned down an absolutely huge short-term contract with Shanghai SIPG, which would have seen him bring in $25m (£17.3m) in just 10 months.
Argentine publication Ola claims former Manchester United and Manchester City striker has no plans to leave his hometown club Boca Juniors for any amount of money.
Tevez only returned to Boca last summer after a spell with Juventus, but has already led them to Copa Argentina glory.
Shanghai SIPG finished second in last season’s Chinese Super League, earning them a place in the AFC Champions League, and were reportedly keen to add Tevez to their ranks ahead of the continental opener against Australian side Melbourne Victory.
The club already boasts several players with experience in Europe and South America, including Tevez’s fellow Argentinian Dario Conca and former Sunderland striker Asamoah Gyan.
