What’s happening to Italian side Parma is pretty sad.
The once-great Serie A side have gone bankrupt and are now being forced to auction off eight club trophies.
But former Chelsea star Mario Melchiot has found one glimmer of humour from a sorry footballing tale.
The ex-Stamford Bridge man has used Arsene Wenger’s Premier League trophy drought to aim a dig at London rivals Arsenal.
Melchiot suggested that Wenger may be in the market for buying a trophy or two – it’s nothing to do with us, but being a former Chelsea man, some might say he’s a bit of an expert on this…
After going bankrupt Parma have resorted to selling old trophies to raise money. Very sad. But great news for Wenger 👀👐🏼🏆 #jokes #mmlove
